Santa Maria

The beach of Santa Maria is on the northeast coast of Paros, a few km away from Naoussa. It lies in a curved bay, with view of the tiny islet of Filitzi.

Santa Maria consists of two long sandy beaches, as the south one is smaller and less visited. The north one is larger and gets a bit crowded in the summer, with sunbeds and parasols offered by beach bars and tavernas, a beach volley ground and a surf center. The surf center also offers water sports which can be practiced not only by surfers - canoes, pedalos, water ski, etc. Visitors are mainly young people but families with small kids also go there because the sand is fine and soft, and the water is very shallow around the shore. However, one should keep in mind that Santa Maria is usually windy.

Behind the beach there is a campsite, as well as hotels and villas.
