Rovinia

The beach

Rovinia is a beautiful small beach close to the village of Liapades, Corfu island. You can reach it by water taxi from Gefyra beach or by car (which also includes a short walk).

Rovinia has coarse sand in the back part and flat smooth pebbles near the shore. The water is blue and transparent, as from the beach there is a wonderful view toward the green hills of Paleokastritsa. The sea gets deep only a few meters from the shore so be careful with children. On Rovinia there are no sunbeds and umbrellas but you have the chance to buy drinks. A canteen boat comes every day in the summer season and offers ice cream and refreshments. Also, there is a small cave in the rocks on the beach which children would love to explore.

If you decide to visit the beach by car or on foot, see the following instructions: On the way to Liapades Beach, there is a supermarket called Athena. On its left side you will see a narrow road going up - follow it. In about 50 m you will reach a small crossroad - turn right. As soon as you turn, you will see a dirt road with a sign pointing the way to Rovinia. Follow the road and drive carefully because it is narrow and slopes down. In about 300-400 meters you will reach a small parking lot - the road ends and you must leave your vehicle there (unless you are on foot, of course). Behind the parking lot there is a path with steps going down to Rovinia. Destination reached!
