Pygadaki (also known as Skala Sykias) is one of the beaches of Sykia
, located between Linaraki
but it is better known as a place with a couple of nice beach taverns. It belongs to a series of coves known as the "five steps in the sand", and one of the taverns there bears the same name.
The beach is narrow and sandy, relatively shallow around the shore and suitable for small kids, as the sea is almost always calm. At one end of the beach there is a small harbor for fishing boats which supply the local restaurants with fresh fish and seafood. Accommodation is also available here, in small guesthouses which rent studios and apartments. The taverns offer free sunbeds and umbrellas for their clients and during the day you can order refreshments and light snacks.
