is a small inland village on the southeast coast of Lefkada
island, 3.5 km away from the beach of Mikros Gialos
. The village is built on a hill high above the sea, surrounded by greenery and tranquility. From a spot near the top of the village superb view is revealed toward the sea.
In contrast to Mikros Gialos
where there are only hotels and villas, Poros is a place where locals live all year round. The houses are built in the typical for the region architecture with stones and yellow tiles, decorated with lots of colorful flowers. The streets are narrow and some of the alleys between the buildings are paved. In the village there are two cafes and a taverna. There are no hotels in the village itself but you can find accommodation options on the way sloping down to Mikros Gialos.
