Pori

Monemvasia view from the north beach end

Pori is a 2km long beach in Laconia, 4 km away from Gefyra and Kastro Monemvasia. The small settlement of Agia Kyriaki is 500 meters from the beach. Pori is predominantly sandy, with small pebbles around the shore. The south beach end, which is closer to Monemvasia, has some rocks in the sea and pebbles on the sea floor.

In the summer Pori is partially organized with sunbeds and parasols with view of the huge Monemvasia rock. There are almost no buildings around the beach, except for a few small hotels and a taverna but Gefyra is very close for shopping and walks. The location is suitable for combination of beach holiday and daily trips to historical sites and traditional villages in the region.
