Platanos

Platanos

Platanos is a remote rocky cove on the north coast of Thassos, just north of Skala Panagia. It is not quite known and visited because of its location and the proximity to the almost 3 km long strip of Golden beach.

Platanos is accessible on foot or by boat. From the north end of Skala Panagia beach, you should follow the road along the sea, it is narrow but paved. Keep straight and in 600 meters you will reach the end of the road, after that you need to continue on foot via a wide path the remaining 500 meters. The beach is very small and has large rocks instead of sand, including in the first few meters around the shore. But because of the rocks the water is extremely transparent and clean and it is very suitable for swimming, snorkeling or just for isolation.
