Peroulades

Waves overwhelming Peroulades

Peroulades is a small old village in the northwestern part of Corfu. It is famous for its beach called Sunset Beach or Longas (Loggas) Beach.

The village is not very populated, the houses are old and only a few accommodations are available. There is one mini-market and one cafe-bar above the beach, as well as two tavernas along the road to Sidari. The road crossing the village ends in a small parking lot above Sunset Beach and then you should go down by a steep narrow path to the sea.

The beach is famous for the stunning views to the sea and the sunset. It has soft yellow sand and high vertical cliffs peculiar for this region of Corfu and the coast from Peroulades to Sidari. The water is very shallow around the shore. Unfortunately the size of the beach often changes, overflown by the waves in windy weather. In some days you may see just a few meters of it, but when there is no wind the beach looks amazing. In the area there are other coves and beautiful rock formations you can reach by boat. One of them is Cape Drastis.
