Old Loading Pier

The old loading pier is one of the evidences of Serifos past, of the days when mining was the main occupation of the inhabitants. Sometimes it is referred to as "the bridge of Megalo Livadi".

The pier is located in the bay of Megalo Livadi, a former mining village. Tourists visit the place not only to get acquainted with the abandoned mining facilities and the mine galleries around but also because of the dramatic photos of the pier at the background of the sea, especially at sunset. the visit of the bridge and the galleries is potentially danger and entirely at your responsibility.
