Nea Vrasna

The resort of Nea Vrasna is half a kilometer away from the resort of Asprovalta and both are almost merged. It is located 84 km from Kavala and its permanent inhabitants are about 2000.

Many believe that Nea Vrasna and Paralia Vrasna are one and the same village but this is not true. They are two different places located very close to each other. Paralia Vrasna is between Nea Vrasna and Stavros. Also, if you come from the highway, on its exit you should turn left for Asprovalta and Nea Vrasna, and right for Paralia Vrasna and Stavros.

In Nea Vrasna there is a variety of family hotels, bakeries and shops. Restaurants are located around the promenade. There is also a small park and playground for children.

The beach of Nea Vrasna is wide and it is difficult to tell where the boundary between it, that of Asprovalta and that of Paralia Vrasna is. The beach is sandy but around the shore and on the sea floor there are small, smooth pebbles. The water is deep even the first few meters, so small children should be monitored. There are umbrellas and sunbeds of the beach bars. The strip is wide enough to put your own umbrella without disturbing the neighbors. On the beach you can also find a volleyball net, showers and changing cabins.
