Moraitika

Moraitika is a village about 20 km from the capital Corfu Town, on the east coast of the island. Its seaside area is right next to Messongi, but both are separated by a river. The river flows into the sea and separates the beach strip into two part - Moraitika to the north and Messongi to the south.

The main road passes a few hundred meters away from the sea, and most facilities like shops, super markets, restaurants, pharmacy and medical center can be found around it. The village has old houses and narrow streets where you can have short walks and stumble upon a few family run tavernas. The hotels are spread mainly between the main road and the beach, as some of them are in front of the sea and have private beach areas with sunbeds and parasols for their clients.

The beach of Moraitika is predominantly sandy, with small pebbles around the shore and shallow water. Beach bars, water sports and boat trips are available.
