Molyvoti is actually the name of a small peninsula, surrounded by two lakes and the sea. It has a couple of non-organized beaches, as only the largest one has a canteen operating during the summer.
On the top of the peninsula there is a small chapel from which panoramic view of the bay is revealed. On Molyvoti ruins of the ancient town of Strymi have been found. The road is paved until you reach the peninsula, after that it turns into a dirt road but its condition is good and suitable for cars.
