Marathias

Marathias is a wide sandy beach in the southwest part of Corfu. It is also called Santa Barbara, to distinguish it from the nearby village of Marathias which is a few miles away from the sea.

Marathias beach is Blue Flag awarded and the water is very clean, with shading light and dark blue colors. There are several restaurants and cafes, villas and some studios to rent, as well as a mini market. The resort of Agios Georgios-Argyrades is a few kilometers to the north but there is no coastal road to connect them directly.
