Malaxa

Located on hill overlooking Souda bay and 8 km from Chania town, Malaxa is a small and quiet settlement with scattered houses. On an elevation above the village rise up the ruins of Malaxa tower, which was used during the Cretan revolution and later destroyed. There is not much to be seen from the tower today but there is excellent view toward Souda bay, especially at night when everything is illuminated.
