Lyes beach is located on the east coast of
Nisyros island. The beach is over one kilometer long and covered with smooth oval pebbles mixed with coarse gray sand. The beach and nearby area is open and relatively flat, there are no shades, trees or beach facilities. At the south end of the beach, towards
Pachia Ammos beach, there is a small tavern. The tavern works only during the summer months.
The access to Lyes beach is via dirt road that starts from
Pali and follows the coastal line. Another way to reach the beach is to take the road to Kyra Panagia monastery and follow the road until it descends to the sea. The two roads connect each other at the small tavern near the beach.
