Koutsoupia

Koutsoupia is a less known and less visited beach on the southwest coast of Sithonia. It is long and narrow and has no facilities at all. The region around has a lot of greenery and contrasts to the blue color of the sea.

Koutsoupia has pebbles instead of sand and the sea bottom is quite rocky as well, so no wonder why it is not very popular. But it is a nice place for everyone who wants to enjoy silence and swimming in crystal clear and calm water, even in July and August when the organized and sandy beaches on Sithonia are full of people. In the distance you will see the Turtle island, and right in front of Koutsoupia there is a small islet to which you can easily swim. No tavernas or shops are available here, as there are only a few private houses around, but just 1 km south you will find the small Spalathronisia beach with a famous fish taverna.
