Koufala

The isolated beach of Koufala lies on the southwest coast of Pelion, between Marathias and Tzasteni. It is visible from the main road but the access is via short path among the low-grown trees behind the beach.

There is absolutely nothing on Koufala, neither houses nor cafes or tavernas (the closest taverna is at Marathia, about 2 km away). The beach is small, covered with smooth pebbles and with sea rocks from both sides. These rocks, the lack of waves and the transparent blue sea make this place suitable fort snorkeling.
