Koronos

Koronos is one of the most beautiful and authentic villages of Naxos, with well preserved traditional architecture and steep narrow alleys accessible on foot. It is built on a hill in the north mountainous part of the island, almost one hour drive from Naxos Town.

There are several tavernas and cafes in Koronos where you can take a rest and enjoy the atmosphere. The village is remote and away from all popular resorts in the island and although tourists visit it during the day, it is a calm place for accommodation. The road to Koronos passes through the mountain and has many sharp turns so it is not suitable for everyday travel. The closest beach is Lionas, within 20 minutes drive.
