Kommeno

Kommeno is not a village. It is a very green peninsula on the east coast of Corfu island, located in the bay of Gouvia opposite its marina. Roughly Kommeno includes the seashore between Gouvia and Dassia, as part of it looks to the south and the other part - to the north.

Kommeno is full of scattered hotels and private villas, hidden among the greenery which resembles thick forest. Here are some of the most luxury villas and hotels on the island with private beaches available only to their guests only. The great sea and sunrise view is offered by most of the accommodation options, as they are either beachfront or built amphitheatrically above the sea. A couple of tavernas are available but for greater choice you should go to the nearby Gouvia and Dassia where there are also bakeries, cafes and supermarkets.

The south side of Kommeno is known as Limmni and there is the Ipapandi Church, a mini copy of the famous Vlacherna Monastery.
