Kefali is a tiny mountain village in West Create. It is next to the road that leads from Chania town to Elafonissi lagoon beach. The village is hidden between the hills and is a calm and relaxing destination. On the main road there are tavernas, shops and parking space. Villas and small hotels are nestled in the hill and offer peaceful atmosphere and panoramic views.

The church of Metamorphosis tou Sotiros (Transfiguration of the Savior) is located at the center of Kefali. It is Byzantine church built in 14th century and has celebration on 6 August each year. Around the village there are even more churches accessible via small roads and hiking trails. One of the paths towards Aerinos village leads to an ancient giant olive tree which has a perimeter of 14m.
