Kathisma
The beach of Kathisma spreads on the northwest coast of Lefkada, between Agios Nikitas and Kalamitsi. It is only 1 km away from the main road and the access is easy, an asphalt road will take you directly to the beach.
Kathisma is not a village but in the area you will find villas, hotels, rooms to rent, a few beach bars and taverns. Major part of the beach is occupied by sunbeds and umbrellas of the bars, with a free zone as well. During the high season you may have difficulties parking your car because the place gets crowded. Except for the free parking spaces, there are shaded parking lots which you can use for a small charge, and some of the beach taverns have free spaces for their clients, too.
Being on the western coast of the island, Kathisma is open to winds and big waves are often present. Most of the beach is sandy, mixed with pebbles around the shore. The sea gets deep quickly.
