Karditsa Region

Karditsa is one of the administrative regions on Thessaly, bordering that of Trikala and Larissa. It is away from the seaside and the area is mainly agricultural. The territory of the region includes part of Mount Pindus and the artificial lake Plastira. Its capital is the homonymous town of Karditsa.
