Kalamitsi Alexandrou

Kalamitsi Alexandrou is one of the two villages with similar names (the other being Kalamitsi Amigdali), located above Georgioupoli, Apokoronas area. Both Kalamitsi villages are next to each other and have the same appearance with old houses, mini square with a kafenion (cafeteria) and scattered private villas to rent. The area is very quiet, for a really peaceful accommodation and yet close to the large sandy beach of Georgioupoli (7 km).

The traditional villages of Gavalochori and Douliana are also nearby, as well as Cape Drapanos, and just a kilometer south of the village you can visit the almost unknown church of Agios Antionios carved in a rock. In front of the church you will be welcomed by a piece of art - a stone head of a dragon which was probably carved by a hermit.
