Glykadi

Glykadi (Glikadi) is a small beach on the north coast of Thassos island, 5 km west of Limenas. The main island road passes just above the beach and you will see it.

Glykadi is sandy but there are pebbles around the shore, and the beach is surrounded by rocks from both sides - perfect for snorkeling, as sea life is in abundance there. The water is shallow but the sea floor is covered with pebbles as well. In the summer there is a beach bar which provides sunbeds, parasols and drinks. No shops or restaurants are available by the beach, the closest tavern is at Papalimani.

Between Glykadi and Papalimani there is a series of tiny sandy coves divided by sea rocks, all of them along the road. It is not sure if they have particular names but sometimes they are called Glykadi as well, although they are not connected with the larger beach.
