Fanari

Fanari is an area in the nortwest part of Mykonos, also known as Faros Armenistis because of the lighthouse nearby ("faros" means "lighthouse" in Greek). It has hotels and villas scattered on a hill overlooking Tinos island, and from the lighthouse you can see the sunset over the sea. Mykonos Town is about 8 km away. The closest beach is Houlakia (2 km) but it is narrow and has large pebbles instead of sand, so it is suitable only for swimming.
