Exanthia

Exanthia is a quiet traditional village nestled in the mountain slopes of Lefkada island. Through the village passes one of the island main roads that goes from Lefkada Town to Vasiliki via Asprogerakata and Drimonas. The settlement was established in Byzantine times and is one of the oldest иn the island. In and around the village there are old churches that can be seen. The houses are stone built, in traditional style with one or two stories, and adorned with light brownish tiles.

In Exanthia there are a few tavernas and a dozen villas and holiday homes which offer the perfect escape from the crowds and busy city life. Some hotels and tavernas boast exceptional view to the Ionian sea and the spectacular sunset.
