The small village of Embourios is the only inhabited settlement in northwest
Milos, opposite
Adamas. In the past it used to be bigger but today it consists only of a few houses (probably villas or summer residences). There is one traditional tavern by the sea. A common sight are the goats roaming freely around the village.
The road to Embourios gets unpaved shortly after
Achivadolimni and then it reaches Agia Marina - a very old church with panoramic view over the gulf of Milos. Before Empourios you will pass by
Fatourena beach and
Rivari, a natural reserve for birds.
