Embourios

View from the main pier

The small village of Embourios is the only inhabited settlement in northwest Milos, opposite Adamas. In the past it used to be bigger but today it consists only of a few houses (probably villas or summer residences). There is one traditional tavern by the sea. A common sight are the goats roaming freely around the village.

The road to Embourios gets unpaved shortly after Achivadolimni and then it reaches Agia Marina - a very old church with panoramic view over the gulf of Milos. Before Empourios you will pass by Fatourena beach and Rivari, a natural reserve for birds.
