Dinosaur Park

The Dinosaur Park of Thessaloniki is a thematic park for kids and adults exhibiting dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals. It is located near the suburbs of Galini and Oreokastro.

The Dinosaur park was opened in 2008 and covers an area of 10 000 m2. It includes:
- Real-size models of all the known dinosaurs
- Educational prehistoric cave showing human evolution
- Mammoth museum
- Mammals museum, showing models of extinguished species
- Sea life museum, showing models of both extinguished and existing species, including a real-size whale model
- Reptile museum, showing models of both prehistoric and existing species
- Interactive toy museum
- Botanical garden with herbs and plants

Visitors will also find outdoor and indoor play areas, mini-golf course, mini funfair and a complete representation of an ancient Greek farm. In weekends and on official holidays tours guided by professional paleontologists are available. On the territory of the theme park there is also a cafeteria and a hotel.
