The Cork Tree
In the village of Monocampi you can see a living cork tree - the only one in Greece. It is on the main road of Ikaria which passes through the village, and if you are traveling toward Evdilos the tree will be on you left, marked with a sign. All visitors are free to touch and take photo of the cork tree, as the locals rely on the conscientiousness of tourists to respect it.
