Food & Drink in Corfu

Corfu cuisine is a mixture of traditional Greek dishes with local interpretations and some recipes which you can try only there. Local specialties include pastitsada (pasta with meat and red sauce), sofrito (veal stew in white wine) and bourdeto (fish in spicy red sauce). The pride of the island is kumquat - a small orange-like fruit which is sold mainly under the form of jam and liqueur.
