Chomi

Chomi

Chomi, also known as Paradise beach, lies on the northwest coast of Corfu. It is close to Liapades and next to Iliodoros beach but you can access it only by sea. There are taxi boats from Gefyra (Liapades) and from Paleokastritsa which can take you to Chomi and come back in a few hours for the return ride.

The most impressive thing about Chomi are the huge vertical cliffs behind the beach which vary in color depending on the time of the day - from white to yellow and almost orange at sunset. In the rocks there are small caves and crinkles which you can explore on foot or by swimming. The beach is covered with a mixture of coarse sand, shingle and pebbles but the sea around it has fantastic blue color and transparent water. In the summer there is a limited number of sunbeds and parasols you can rent, and drinks are sold by a boat which comes in regular intervals. But if you decide to visit this beach in early or late season, prepare yourself with food and drinks because the place may be entirely empty.

Next to Chomi is Stelari beach, another large but much wilder beach. Stelari is also accessible only by boat and has no facilities.
