Chiliomoudou

Chiliomoudou is a very small settlement located in the mountains above Kalyves and Almyrida. It is between the villages of Samonas and Kiriakosellia and the entire area is a series of sleepy old settlements built on hills and providing panoramic view toward the sea and the surrounding mountains. Chiliomoudou has no tourist facilities, there are only a few houses along the road and some of them are turned into villas to rent. The closest beach is that of Kalyves, 13 km away.

On the road from Samonas to Chiliomoudou you can visit the small but beautiful Samonas cave, with a small cave pond. Heading to Kiriakosellia and less than 1 km from the village lies the well preserved Byzantine church of Agios Nikolaos, and in a large rock above it is cave church of Agios Mamas. The cave church is visible from the road as on the way to Kiriakosellia it climbs up toward the rock.
