Bastouni

Bastouni (Mpastouni) is a quiet neighborhood of houses close to the village of Kastania. It is 1 km away from the main island road which goes along the east coast and 7 km away from the historical old town and port of Corfu Town. The sights of Pontikonisi and Vlacherna monastery are at a distance of less than 5 km.

Bastouni is suitable for those who seek accommodation away from the noisy resorts and tourist masses but you should keep in mind that without a car distances seem much longer. There are only private villas and houses to rent and no big hotels. The closest restaurant is at the entrance of Kastania, and along the main road you will find bakeries, cafes, pharmacies, grocery stores and various shops. The large sandy beach of Agios Gordios on the west coast is 10 km away.
