Azapiko

The south beach with campers

Azapiko is an area in southwest Sithonia, roughly between the beaches of Tristinika and Styladario. It is undeveloped place without any facilities except for a few hotels and villas scattered away from each other. Azapiko includes two large sandy coves divided by sea rocks and a few smaller coves, all connected via dirt roads. The larger beaches are also known as Agios Georgios, after the name of a small chapel built on one of the rocks. The lively resort of Neos Marmaras is 16 km to the north.

Azapiko is most favored by campers and naturists, and you will most probably see tents and nudes. One of the larger beaches - the north one - has a small beach cantina with sunbeds and parasols but it occupies only a small part of it and the rest space is free. These beaches never get crowded because of their remote location and lack of any shops and restaurants. The sand is coarse and there are small pebbles around the shore but the sea bottom is not rocky at all. It quickly gets deep after the first meter so small kids must be supervised.
