Armeni

Armeni (also Armenoi) is a small inland village in north Chania region, close to Kalyves and Almyrida. It is near the main island road but away enough to be quiet and peaceful.

The village is set in a fertile valley, with the Xydas river passing through it. The tiny village square is shaded by large trees and there are two taverns, a cafe and a bakery. Accommodation is provided in villas to rent and a few small hotels. Kalyves beach is 4 km away.

Keep in mind there is one more Armeni village on Crete close to Rethymno, with a popular Minoan cemetery and sometimes people are confused with the two homonymous places.
