Apraos
Apraos is a large beach in the north part of Corfu, between Kassiopi and Acharavi. It lies just next to the main road going from Corfu Town to the north coast. The beach of Apraos is also known as Kalamaki and both names are used equally which is a bit confusing.
The beach is wide and entirely sandy, and the water is shallow quite a few meters from shore which makes Apraos perfect for small kids. There are some restaurants which function as beach cafes with sunbeds and parasols but most of the beach is empty. The surrounding area has several hotels but for shopping and various food options you have to visit the neighboring resort of Kassiopi, about 5 km away.
