is the name of the only village on Ammouliani island. The locals call it just "to chorio", which means "the village". Although small, it has its own charm and permanent population all year round.
The village is spread around the port of the island where ferries arrive. The houses are densely built and some of them are located on a hill with narrow alleys. There is no space for big hotels inside the village and the accommodation options are small B&B guesthouses, or rooms and apartments to rent. Any beach on the island is no more than a few km away from the village but yet a car is recommended because there is no public transport and some of the roads are still not paved. The only beach in the village is called Petrothalassa and it is really small.
In the summer Ammouliani Village gets very lively in the evenings, as all people accommodated on the island come for dinner and walk. All tavernas, cafe and bakeries are in close proximity to the port, and there is also a small entertainment park and playground for kids. Supermarkets can be found at the back side of the village, on the road to Alikes
and the south beaches of the island. A small medical center with emergency unit and a pharmacy are also available in Ammouliani.
