Ammoudia is a small and quiet village on the Ionian seaside, 20 km away from Parga. It distinguishes with its large sandy beach and shallow water. Sunbeds and parasols are provided by a couple of beach cafes but major part of the beach is unoccupied. The mythical Acheron river flows into the sea right next to the village and river adventure activities are organized.

Ammoudia has only small hotels and rooms to rent. It is also preferred by people with campers as there is much space around the beach, under the shade of high trees. Some tavernas, cafes and mini markets are available around the village center and port.
