Agios Petros

Agios Petros

Agios Petros is an old village 3 km away from Pondi and 5km away from Vasiliki, Lefkada island. It is situated along the main island road that comes from Lefkada Town to Vasiliki and consists of old and new houses built around a net of tiny streets. The village is named after the 14th century church of Agios Petros (Saint Peter) and is one of the older villages on Lefkada.

In Agios Petros there is at least one shop, taverna, bakery and cafe open all year round. During the season there are more working tavernas to indulge the senses of the hungry tourists. There is not much to do in the village apart from enjoying the laziness and spending a relaxing holiday, or exploring the beaches of the southwest coast like Porto Katsiki, Egremni and Gialos. The distances from Agios Petros to those three beaches vary from 12 to 18 km but the ride takes about 25-30 minute because the narrow roads do not allow fast drive.
