Agios Minas

Agios Minas is a long and pebbly beach on the east shore of Karpathos island. It is covered with flat and smooth pebbles in different shades of gray. At the back of the beach there is a line of trees for natural shade - a must in the hot summer days.
The name of the beach comes from the Agios Minas church situated on the top of the bordering hill. From the church there is a splendid view of the sea, the beach and the tree gardens behind it.

In the past, it was visited by few tourists and was unspoiled place. Now, during the summer, there is a small canteen and a few parasols. However the beach remains not crowded due to its hard accessibility.

Agios Minas is reachable via two dirt roads which also pass by other nearby beaches. The roads are suited for ATV or small jeeps, a normal car can still go but with extra care. An alternative transportation is via boat from Diafani. The boat can also transport you to other nearby beaches on request.
