Agios Ioannis

Agios Ioannis is an inland village, right in the middle of Corfu island. Beautiful Corfu Town is 10 km away to the east, and the beaches of Glyfada and Ermones are within the same distance to the west. The location of the village is perfect to explore the entire island - the weird rock formations to the north, the vast sandy beaches to the west and the densely populated east part.

Agios Ioannis is mostly known for the large aqua park with hotel complex. The main road which passes through the village is maybe the widest on the island, and along it you will find a few cafeterias, taverna, pharmacy and bakery. There is also a gas station and super market. The streets away from the main road are very narrow and quiet, winding among old houses and newly built villas in the same architectural style.
