Agios Georgios-Pagi

Agios Georgios seen from the road to Makrades

Corfu has two resorts with the name Agios Georgios - one on the northwest coast and one on the southwest. This one is the northern and locals call it also Agios Georgios-Pagi (because of the nearby mountain village of Pagi). The resort is located between Paleokastritsa and Arillas and the beach is known as one of the best on the island. The distance from the port of Corfu Town is about 30 km.

The resort is small and quiet, populated only in the summer. The hotels are family run, with studios and apartments to rent. There are several supermarkets, restaurants and a few coffee bars around the coast.

The beach is in a long bay of fine golden sand. There are no showers and changing cabins, but sunbeds and parasols are provided by the beach cafes. A limited number of water sports are available, as well as boat trips.

A few kilometers from Agios Georgios-Pagi is the traditional village of Afionas, suitable for evening walks and panoramic views from above, as well as the scenic bay Porto Timoni.
