Agios Andreas

View from the road

Agios Andreas is an archeological site with ruins of Mycenaen times. It occupies the top of a large hill in the central south part of Sifnos island, away from villages and buildings.

You can access Agios Andreas by car via the road going from Apollonia to Vathi, the parking lot is in front of the entrance, but after that you need to walk on a path with steps with approximate length of 700 meters. The path is narrow and uneven, covered with boulders at some places, and it requires proper shoes.

The site has entrance fee and the working hours are from 08:00 to 15:30, every day except for Tuesdays. Except for the ruins, you can also visit a small museum with artifacts and the white chapel of Agios Andres, with panoramic views from above.
