Agia Irini

The area around the beach as seen from the main island road

Agia Irini is a small gulf on the west coast of Paros, in a relatively non-populated area with sporadic villas to rent and hotels. It has two small beaches, in a close walking distance between each other. Above the gulf, on a low hilltop stands the church of Agia Irini which gave the name of the area.

The northern beach is sandy and shallow, with a seaside taverna operating in the summer. There is a chapel of St. George on the rocks by the sea. The south beach is known as Palm Beach because of the high palm trees there. It is a very narrow strip of soft sand and some rocks. Behind the beach there is a beach taverna and a mini market.
