Agathonissi
small island below Samos

Agathonissi
Agathonissi is a very small island on the border of the Dodecanese and North Aegean group, below Samos. Usually people come here for a day cruise from some of the neighbor islands because Agathonissi is really small and has only three villages around the port which actually look like one.
The port of the island is called Agios Georgios and it is less than 1 km away from Megalo Chorio, the village built on the hill above the port where all 180 permanent residents live. Mikro Chorio is another small settlement next to Agios Georgios, with only a few buildings. Some mini markets can be found in Megalo Chorio, as well as two tavernas at the port around the pebbly beach strip. Around the village there are a few coves with pebbles and clear water.
