Afra

The small village of Afra lies almost in the center of Corfu island, next to the larger Agios Ioannis. The houses are built along the road which traverses the village and surrounded by greenery and silence. The center of Corfu Town is 10 km away and Kontokali and Gouvia are 6 km away.

Afra is a very quiet village, with only a few cafes and a small pharmacy. Most of the houses are old but renovated, and the few new buildings are in the traditional for the region architectural style. There are no shops or restaurants but the closest can be found in Agios Ioannis in less than 3 km. Accommodation is possible in holiday homes or small complexes of apartments to rent.
