Vatos

Vatos is village 700 meters from the sea on west cost of Corfu Island, built on a mountain slope above Ermones beach. The oldest area of the village is hilly and the houses have view to the Ropa valley and Corfu Golf Club area. The lower part of the village is in the valley and consist of a few houses and mansions along the road to Ermones.

In Vatos there is a mixture of renovated houses, a few ruined buildings and many new mansions built in Corfiot style. For travelers wanting to stay in the area there are some villas and apartments for rent and even a small house resembling castle tower.
In the village there is one small shop and taverna which is popular with both locals and many tourists. Mirtiotissa and Ermones beaches are less then 1 km away and Glyfada beach is 2 km away. Corfu Town (where are both the ferry port and the airport) is 16 km away and it takes around 25 minutes to reach by car.
