Vagia

Vagia

Vagia is one of the large south beaches of Serifos, in an area which is still not developed. It lies in a large bay sheltered from winds, 6 km away from the island port Livadi.

Vagia is long and wide, covered with mixture of pebbles and coarse sand, and there are some sections with flat rocks on the sea bottom. The water quickly gets deep but the sea is usually calm, without waves and wind. In the summer you can buy drinks and rent sunbeds from a beach cantina the sunbeds, however, are limited and most people bring their own parasols. At the back of the beach there is a complex of holiday houses to rent and a hotel resort, but the closest taverna is at the adjacent beach of Ganema.
