Sikinos Chora
Sikinos Chora is the main village of Sikinos. Located in the northwest part of the island, it is not visible from the port and it has no beach.
Sikinos Chora unites two small villages - Kastro and Chorio, known together as Chora. They are built on two opposite hills with sea view, as Kastro is the more touristy part of the village where all tavernas and cafes are located. In Kastro you can see old windmills and a short path leads to the two landmarks at the top of the village - the church of Agia Anna and the monastery of Panagia Chrysopigi.
The walk in the narrow steep alleys of Chorio is a great way to feel how the locals live - there are no facilities for tourists, just private houses and churches.
