Pounta

Located on the west coast of Paros, Pounta (Pounda) village is famous for two things. First, this is the place from which you can take take a boat to Antiparos. From the small port ferries depart and arrive on a regular schedule many times daily, carrying both passengers and vehicles. Second, Pounta is popular among surfers for its kite center, located on its large, sandy and quite windy beach. The beach is about 500 meters away from the port. The hotels and villas in the area are few, mostly preferred by surfers.

There is one more place on Paros which is also called Pounta, but it is on the east coast - a small sandy beach with beach bars. It is just next to Logaras.
