Perama
Perama is a seaside area opposite Kanoni peninsula, overlooking the emblematic Pontikonissi islet, Vlacherna Monastery and the international airport of Corfu. It is tourist oriented and populated only in the summer season, consisting only of big and small hotels, villas, guest houses and a few tavernas scattered along the coast and the coastal road. The part which overlooks Kanoni is connected to the peninsula with a causeway and you can easily walk it. Corfu Town is within 10 minutes drive.
The beaches of Perama are not much attractive and presented by tiny pebbled coves. Some of them are not accessible and available only to the beachfront properties. They are good for swimming but the large sandy beaches of Agios Gordios, Glyfada and Pelekas on the west coast are not so far away and you can reach them in 20-25 minutes.
